This project incorporates the infill of an existing Courtyard as the senior Common Room, two new Lecture Theatres plus Meeting Rooms and Welfare Facilities.
The entire system is controlled via the University’s BMS system.
Variable and constant temperature heating circuits are extended from the adjacent Herbert Jarman Building boiler house to serve the refurbished areas. The new circuits are sized to allow future replacement of the heating throughout the Main building where the Quadrangle Atrium is located.
The lighting to the Quadrangle Atrium incorporates high level LEDs fitted into the roof light ventilators. These LED’s are full colour changing R/Y/B and can effectively provide light in any colour.
Perimeter ceiling wash lights and wall/column mounted luminares are also provided.
The Lecture Theatres have modular dimmable LED fittings. All luminaires incorporate DALI protocol; the Lecture Theatres also have a Crestron lighting control system.
The Lecture Theatres are provided with a heat recovery mechanical ventilation system with variable speed fans. Heating to these spaces are via radiators.
