Value: £2.5 Million
The entire heating and cooling system plant including high efficiency inverter VRF condensing units and internal fan coil units have been recovered and reused from a building that was due for demolition. The building had been refurbished 5 years prior to this project but had never been occupied. The refrigerant pipework plus controls and power wiring formed part of the new installation works.
Cold water services were extended from the existing building to supply toilets and kitchenettes plus hot water requirements.
Luminaires and associated lighting control installation was also recovered from the building due to be demolished for the general office areas whereas new LED lighting is incorporated in the new 2 storey reception and director’s suite.
A new incoming power supply has been provided to the building which backfeeds the existing building. Sub-mains are extended to local distribution boards and the cooling plant. Final small power distribution in the office areas is via underfloor plug in bus bars.
IT/Voice/Data has been extended from the existing Comms. Room whilst a new server room has been constructed in the extension. Cat 6 data cables are extended to PC’s, printers and audio-visual facilities.
