Bridport Community Hospital

The project incorporates the refurbishment of the existing Hughes Unit (Mental Health) including disused Ward Areas and the Physiotherapy Department.

The rationalisation of the space incorporates these departmental functions as well as co-location office space for Mental Health plus Dorset NHS Trust and Dorset County Council administration purposes.

The Mental Health Unit is provided with a new reception area, waiting area, daycare room, 6 no. consulting/interview rooms plus supporting administration area and welfare facilities.

Building services installations were extensively altered, enhanced, extended and replaced including heating, mechanical ventilation including air handling unit refurbishment, lighting, emergency lighting, small power (dado trunking and power poles), IT/Voice /Data structured cabling installation, fire alarm and detection, access control, aid call system, door entry system and CCTV.
